I’ve just loved it. I like the way I’ve been treated and the work has been good. He doesn’t hurt me. When I first started here I was scared to death. I would really be nervous, and it was really strange. I told more people I’d be nervous until I got in the chair, and then for some reason I was relaxed, so figure that one out. I’ve had a few crowns, and I went through all the procedures. The mold they have to take, and the temporary, and all that. The last crown I had done, I came and I walked out in two hours with a new crown. Which I was very happy with, because I didn’t have to go through all that other procedure. I just take confidence in him. He never hurt me before, and I didn’t think he would hurt me again. I was a little … I was curious on how this all was going to happen really, because it was a first. I just was very happy with it.

They have always been more than attentive to my needs with the normal dental work, along with bringing in the appliances or retainers and cleaning them for me. He has fixed a few old fillings, broken fillings. We’ve also replaced a few silver fillings to the white to match the tooth, before another cavity would start that we replace the filling, and with that replacement to use the new white bonding. I think he is wonderful with his personality at alleviating any fears or anything like that. I also bring my two children in with me. They love coming here. There is no questions asked about when the dentist appointment comes up. They can’t wait to get here. The staff is amazing with the kids as well.

You get to know the nurses, the hygienists and what not. It’s just a fun time. It’s just a fun time. You feel like part of the family. I had a slight little overbite in back. I was grinding my teeth. We set me up with a little retainer and everything, sleep in, help with that so I don’t keep grinding the teeth. I didn’t really know I was doing it until he showed me the pictures. I’m like, “Oh, I guess I am. Okay.” You do find yourself sleeping better. He does his checkups and he finds little things to improve the smile. They certainly tell you about your flossing and a little spray floss. It makes it a good thing. You can come in here and get the whitening done. You go out and people are just amazed. It’s like, “Wow, your teeth are so bright. Where do you go? Where do you go?” I tell them where I go and everything and I say, “How do you like the place?” Say, “I love the place. Been going there for so long it’s just second nature. I don’t plan on going anywhere else.”

I started seeing Dr. Newingham, I had an emergency needed and he was actually at a different practice near house. He did such a wonderful job. I was so happy with him. I had a semi-partial foreteeth and they started to come loose. I needed to get in immediately and he just took me right away and took his time and just did everything good to save the other teeth and make sure that I could still have everything. It worked out wonderful.

Like I said, it was his preciseness that just amazes me. He just takes his time and he wants to get it right. He wants to make it look natural so that no one knows that you have anything except your natural teeth. Then a few years later, I wanted to go back and I found out he had left that practice. When I called to make the appointment, he told me he had left town.

I started to do research on the Internet to find out where he was. Then I found out that he had his practice here and I started coming back. I just love him, he is so precise. He takes his time. He cares about his patients. The whole staff is the same way, everybody just… it’s like a big family and I really love that feeling.

I’ve really known all the team here since I was little, like born. I’m really comfortable with everyone, and I just told my mom, “Can you just drop me off here, so I can hang out all day?” That’s what makes it more comfortable with me, and that’s why I like it. I did have issues with my teeth. I had pits in them, so I had to get them filled. I cracked one, I had to get minor surgery on that, but it was all very nice. We were laughing and it didn’t hurt that much.

I’m just glad that my smile is more newer. Carrie, or one of the people that’s working on me, will like turn on the Tigers or the Red Wings, which I really like hockey. I like that because it just makes me feel like I’m laying on the couch at home. You’re just really comfortable and everyone treats you like you’re just one big part of a family.

It’s everything from fast, friendly service to impeccable dental work. My very own sister is a dentist, so Dr. Newingham is the only other person that I trust to work on my teeth. My daughter’s really shy when it comes to going to the dentist or any doctor. He has a way with her and he makes her feel really comfortable. She actually talks to him and laughs so she’s not afraid to come here at all. When you walk into his office you feel like you’re going into an old friend’s house. They just make you feel really at home. He explains everything that he’s about to do, so before he starts working on you, you actually know what’s going to happen. That probably eases a lot of fears that someone might have.

From my own experience when I’ve had a few things, a few difficult to detect things, he was always right on it. I never had to wait. He’d say, “Come right in right now. I can fit you in.” He would take a quick look and make sure everything was fine. One of his favorite new tools is the cancer-detecting tool. They shine a light on your mouth and they can make sure that you don’t have any pre-cancerous cells or anything like that. I think it’s really important. He’s probably just the best around. You never have to wait. Whenever you call for an appointment, you can pretty much get in whenever you want. They’re very, very accommodating to your schedule. Once you get here, they make you feel like family.

I am very much impressed with Dr. Newingham. The staff is very professional, extremely courteous. I didn’t want to smile because with the previous dental work, the gums had receded because they were metal core crowns. The taps of my teeth were very dark-looking. I, very much, held back on big smiles and a lot of laughter. I had, my upper front, I had six crowns replaced. I also had a bridge made for the lower part of my mouth. Because of the nature of this work, I wasn’t certain how this was all going to go down but it was pretty straightforward. I really didn’t have a whole lot of anxiety about it.

I did not have dental insurance. I was a cash patient, if you will. Because I knew the extent of the expense, I was able to plan accordingly and complete it by the time the dental work was also completed. It worked out very well. If you know me, I am full of laughter all the time. I’m very happy to have this work done.

The first time I came here, it was just such a great experience. Everybody treats you so well as soon as you walk in the door. They offer you water, coffee, whatever you need. I always leave here having a good time. The first time I came here I laughed. I called my husband and I said, “How do you have a good time at the dentist?” I said, “It was amazing.” I just really enjoy the experience. I always feel like I’m treated so well. It’s smooth sailing.

I had a filling that came out. It left a very large hole in my tooth, so I do have a fear of pain. I was really nervous because I knew I had to get a numbing shot before they actually refilled my tooth. I could not believe that the method he used to distract me for the moment that he gave me the shot, it didn’t even hurt at all and it totally surprised me. He even said, “This could be a little bit painful” because of the spot it was in my mouth and it was a really large hole and he knew there were a lot of nerves around there. I honestly didn’t feel it and it blew my mind that he distracted me long enough to where the shot went in and I didn’t even know it even happened. Moving forward, I’m not worried about coming here if I have to do that again, so that helped a ton.

I always leave in a good mood because they make me laugh and they make me feel so special. I just love it here.

It’s Dr. Newingham and his staff. I’m always comfortable when I come. They always take real good care of me. It’s usually painless. He’s truly a nice person so you feel comfortable the second you walk in the door.

My experience has always been good just because they’ve treated me nicely. I’m not one of those people who’s normally afraid of the dentist. Actually, I enjoy coming here, but they put you at ease once you walk in the front door. Again, I love the staff here. They’ve always been nothing but nice and positive. The environment is comfortable. You’re made comfortable in the chair once you get in there. You have a show to watch while they take care of you. It’s really easy in, easy out.

Think the number one thing for me is the quality of the service. I’ve had several different dentists in my 60 years and Dr. Newingham is just the best. He wants things to be right. Since I’m somewhat of a perfectionist myself, that’s important to me. I needed three front crowns due to accidents that I had as a teenager. I had had crowns but it was time for a change. With the new whitening, I decided to do that and then I needed new crowns anyway, so he did that, the Zoom. The whitening procedure really dramatically made a difference. That was a dramatic improvement. Your front teeth, how important are those? I love looking in the mirror now. That’s what I like. I like seeing a brighter smile.

As a massage therapist one of the things I focus on, because I have experienced TMJ dysfunction the past, is doing massage therapy to help relax the muscles and the joints that can cause misalignment, and pain, neck pain, headaches, and so on. They will send their patients if they feel that it would help them. It’s a nice thing that he does for his patients, that he’s concerned enough about how they’re feeling that it goes beyond just the work he does here. It’s nice that he considers their overall health.

Some of it is misalignment, or problems with the actual teeth. Where again, they’re not lining up. That’s more where Dr. Newingham would do his work, but most often people come in and they get a massage, and they get immediately relief from the inflammation and the pain that’s caused from TMJ. I’ll give them tips that they can do some work on their own at home. A lot of it is stressed induced. Getting them to understand that factor, and what they need to do to help themselves de-stress on their own time. People come in and they feel relaxed and a lot better after having a massage done. They’re very concerned about your comfort and your happiness.

I love Dr. Newingham. He’s such a warm, confident, competent dentist. I really like how he has all the newest technologies. As someone who clenches, I have a bite plate that was made by this office, so that’s helped, definitely.

In addition, just making sure that I am doing all my normal dental hygiene things. Dr. Newingham would always make sure to check up on how it was fitting, and how it was still laying on my teeth.

They’re very so thorough, that even when I have questions, or even if I think I haven’t been flossing, I leave here knowing what my current dental health is, and what to do to better it.

I’ve just usually done check-ups here, except for two summers ago. I had an accident, and my left tooth, I chipped the bottom half off of it. Half of my nerve was showing still, so every time I would drink something cold or bit into something, it was pretty painful. He actually did the procedure, and then he said there was a fifty-fifty chance of the nerve not regenerating the right way, and about six months to a year later, I noticed my tooth started aching again, so we came in to him. He did an x-ray, and saw that the nerve was dying, so they had to cut it all out and shave it down. Ever since then, it’s been pain-free. Even with the root canal, it wasn’t really painful at all.

I’ll be honest with you, I’ve never been a big fan of the dentist, but here, the guys that work for him, the ladies that work for him, they just talk to you the whole time, asking you how your day is going. They ask you about your job, and then I mean, the next thing you know, you’re all done. You’re all out of here. Just the people that he’s hired that are around him actually really care. They want to work on your teeth, they want to do a good job.

I think it’s a great office, and I’m glad that I’m a part of it, or at least a patient here. I had an issue with my jaw and my bite was off, and I consequently would get headaches. He helped align the jaw, and then he helped align the teeth, and then they were looking at how I was grinding my teeth. What I was doing was I was actually chipping them as I was eating, and he said, “Well, we can keep doing a little fix here and there.” But he says, “Eventually, it would probably be faster if we just re-did the front teeth, because you’re going to grind them. If he keeps grinding them down, you’re going to have nothing left.”

When I would eat, I could feel myself, how my teeth were hitting together. It got to the point where something had to be done. He put the crowns in on his recommendation, and I’m very happy with it. No issues, no problems, no pain. Like I say, I haven’t had any issues with my jaw or my bite. Prior to it, because I had a couple chips in the front teeth, I would smile, but I wouldn’t show my teeth as much. Now I don’t have any problem doing that. I don’t feel self-conscious of smiling. In fact, I kind of like to show them off.

This has been the most comfortable place. Where they’re never overly anxious or nervous coming here. Everyone on the staff makes you feel very comfortable. We laugh a lot. We talk about the growth of our children and the different challenges that they’re all going through. It’s a very family oriented practice. Again, even with this being really outside of my network, we still come here because of the atmosphere and the staff here.

They’re very diligent in notifying you when you’re next appointment or six-month appointment is coming up. They often send reminders or give you a personal call or send text messages now. This office I feel is very up to beat with the technology. They use that to the best of their ability as far as communicating with their customers or their patients.

When things are busy or hectic in your life they keep you in sync by keeping in touch with you. We look forward to coming here. We catch up on how each one of the families are doing. We talk about the different challenges and things. The conversation that they start off they don’t just start opening your mouth and start working. We have conversation, laugh a little bit. They allow enough time. You never feel that you’re in a similar line here when you come for your appointments.

This practice is very special to me. The people are so friendly and when you come to the dentist, you usually have that white knuckle, biting your nails for a few days ahead of time. I don’t feel that way. Dr. Newingham is wonderful. I almost treat him like he’s my son, but he’s not. He’s very professional, very current.

The staff here is like a family. They laugh. Sometimes it’s almost too noisy there. They’re having fun. It’s just very friendly and very different from the dental offices that I remember as a child, and I’ve had a lot of dental work through the years.

Recently, I had braces. Adult braces. I asked him, I got brave and said, “You know … They do so many wonderful things today. Is there any hope for me?” At this stage in my life, it’s one of those things on my bucket list, and he connected me to other dentists that are highly trained exceptional with adult needs that I had, and they worked as a team. Dr. Newingham still hovers over me and I can call him when emergencies have come up. Approachable, and willing and wanting, and it’s just wonderful.

I come here for my cleanings every four months between the other dentists and Dr. Newingham, so I’ve gotten to know them on a very personal level and I trust them.
