You’re tired of wincing at your own smile. In photos or home movies, you’re too embarrassed to give friends and family a glimpse of the smile you’ve grown to hate.

But if you’ve decided to do something about it, the hard part is out of the way.

At Newingham Medical Center, we applaud you, but we know that despite how hard it can be to make the right choice for your teeth, it seems like there’s an entire galaxy of overwhelming options waiting for you once you’re ready to take the plunge.

Fortunately, we’ve got you covered.

Veneers will surely improve the brightness and whiteness of your smile, but they’re not created equally, each with their own benefits, strengths, and considerations.

If you’re overwhelmed by the choice of veneer options that we offer, or are put-off by scientific mumbo jumbo that seems to hurt more than help your research into getting cosmetic dental work, not to worry: Any one of them is a sure-fire step to higher confidence and higher quality of life. We just want to get the one that’s right for you.

So let’s take a quick look at our three veneer services. We promise it will be as painless as having them installed!

Porcelain Veneers: Tried And True

Sturdy, pearly, and time-tested, a porcelain veneer is the most common type of veneer. Technically for a porcelain laminate, we apply several thin sheets of this material to the tooth you want to improve with a cement that works with the human body’s chemistry, not against it.

The veneer can be tweaked to match color preference and position, and once that’s done we apply a special light to the newly installed veneer, which activates chemicals within the cement and fortifies the bond between the new veneer and the underlying tooth.

Porcelain veneers are simple to maintain, and respond well to normal brushing and flossing, with the added bonus that they’re far more stain-resistant than normal tooth enamel. That means a whiter smile, for longer.

E.Max Veneers: Extra Durability

If you want a higher-grade veneer, our e.max veneers are made of stronger, tougher materials that ensure a longer lifespan once installed.

Instead of porcelain, e.max veneers are made of lithium disilicate, a high-strength ceramic material that provides better resistance to daily wear-and-tear and have unprecedented levels of vibrancy and translucency—all of which is a fancy way of saying that they tend to look better and will last longer than their more traditional porcelain counterparts.

Another advantage to e.max is the flexibility of lithium disilicate in allowing us to better sculpt your smile. This ultimately gives you greater control over the shape and the nature of your smile than ever before, and their added toughness will give you greater peace of mind.

E.max veneers are truly revolutionary, and you’ll notice the difference from day 1 to day 10,000.

Lumineers: Ultra Thin, Ultra Bright

A cosmetic Lumineer veneer is one of the most pain-free enhancements to your smile. Due to their extremely thin composition, we won’t have to shape the target tooth nearly as much to improve your smile’s radiance. It also means the entire process is much quicker when compared to installation of porcelain and e.max veneers.
Indeed, Lumineer veneers are a top-of-the-line brand, and have been making smiles brighter and more durable for over 30 years.

Because they don’t require as much tooth measurement and filing, they usually require a maximum of two trips to our offices: The first one for consultation and measurement, and the second visit for placement, which only takes up to an hour!

But don’t get the impression that Lumineers aren’t durable: While not as strong as the e.max, the company that makes them claims clinical tests have shown Lumineers to last 20 years. Chances are, you can’t even buy a car that will last you that long, much less one that can make your physical appearance shine like Lumineers can, and not without hundreds of hours of maintenance that veneers simply don’t require.
