Dr. Justin C. Newingham

I think the most rewarding part of being a dentist is making a difference in someone’s life. When we get to see someone who is fearful, and apprehensive, and just afraid of the dentist office, and we get to know them, and get to understand what they want from us, and then we seem them kind of relax. You know? Then we see them, each time they come in again and again, we see them relax a little bit more to the point where we might start with someone where they need the laughing gas, or they maybe need to pre-medicate with an anti-anxiety med. Now they’re coming in and, “I don’t need to gas, I don’t need to med.” They feel like we’re family. We feel like they’re family so that the dentistry part of it is just a thing we’re doing while we’re talking.

It’s partly why we’ve designed the office the way we have with couches. We try to make it seem more like a living room and a kid’s play room. We make it seem like a home so that people relax and take down those walls that they build up because they’re so fearful of dental treatment. I guess that’s the most rewarding, when you can see that you have made a difference, and you’ve allowed someone to get the care that they need and they deserve.

Dr. Newingham is a graduate of Albion College and University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and he has been providing dental services to the community for more than ten years. Eight years ago, he became the owner of Newingham Dental Center, which has allowed him to pair his personalized care with the highest quality services and precision. Through these years, he has cultivated a diverse family of patients, which includes young professionals, the elderly, and entire families looking for a dentist who can treat them all. The most rewarding part of his job is restoring a patient’s mouth to perfect working order, helping a person to eat, talk, and smile correctly with no pain and with complete confidence.

When you receive treatment from Dr. Newingham, you are getting care from one of the most respected and knowledgeable dentists in the state. Dr. Newingham continues to enroll in continuing education programs in order to offer his patients the newest and most effective treatments, and he has received instruction from both the Kois Center and Spears Education, two of the most advanced post-doctoral dental schools in the world. Since receiving additional training and instruction, he has now become a mentor at both schools and provides guidance and expertise to many young dentists in the area and across the country.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Newingham enjoys traveling, exercising, and coaching his little league teams. He’s married to his high school sweetheart, Beth, and they’ve been together since they were both 16 years old. They have three sons: Luke, Evan, and Drew.
